ANZ has met its A$10 billion housing commitment for Australia and New Zealand ahead of its 2030 target.
Set in 2021, it aimed to fund and facilitate investment in affordable, accessible and sustainable homes.
To reach it, the bank worked with community housing providers, developers, investors and government programs.
The funding backed models such as build-to-rent-to-own homes, specialist disability accommodation (SDA) and social housing.
ANZ said these projects have opened new paths into housing for people living with disability.
They have also helped households seeking social and affordable homes, and those looking for other ways to own a home.

“Addressing housing challenges requires new approaches that can be scaled to meet the needs of different people and communities,”
said Kevin Corbally, Managing Director of Corporate Finance, Credit and Capital Management at ANZ.

“We’ve seen strong demand from customers looking to challenge traditional approaches to housing and develop innovative solutions to housing needs in our communities,”
said Michelle Sichlau, General Manager of Institutional Loan Product & Delivery at ANZ.
In Queensland, the bank supported 483 homes with Tetris Capital across four high-growth communities.
A second project with Community Housing is delivering 156 social and affordable homes.
ANZ has also committed more than A$800 million through state programs, supporting 1,443 homes.
In Victoria, ANZ and its partners delivered 362 apartments, including 73 social, 73 affordable, 14 SDA and 202 private rental homes.
Since 2018, the bank has committed more than A$700 million to SDA.
In Cairns, ANZ joined partners including Housing Australia and the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility on a 490-home precinct. It comprises 245 social, 223 affordable and 22 SDA homes.
