Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has appointed Victoria Ledda as Group Chief Information Officer and Rodrigo Castillo as Group Chief Technology Officer.
Both appointments will take effect from 1 July 2026.
The changes reflect CBA’s decision to establish two distinct technology leadership roles within its Executive Leadership Team, focusing on strengthening delivery across business technology and enterprise infrastructure as the bank accelerates investment in artificial intelligence, data, and operational resilience.
Both executives will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Matt Comyn.
Matt Comyn said:

“Technology is central to CBA’s strategy and to the experiences we provide for our customers. The pace of change in technology and AI means we need focused, hands-on leadership across both business-aligned technology delivery and the enterprise technology foundations that support the Group.”
As Group Chief Information Officer, Victoria Ledda will lead business-aligned technology strategy and delivery across the Group.
She joined CBA in 2021 and has held senior technology leadership roles including Executive General Manager, Institutional Banking & Markets Technology and Executive General Manager, Retail Technology.
Prior to CBA, she spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs in engineering and technology leadership roles across London, New York, and Sydney.
As Group Chief Technology Officer, Rodrigo Castillo will oversee the bank’s enterprise technology foundations, including engineering, security, and AI capabilities.
He joined CBA in 2023 as Chief Technology Officer and previously held senior CIO and Managing Director roles at HSBC, where he led large-scale digital transformation and technology modernisation programmes across international markets.
Comyn added:
“These appointments reflect the depth of technology talent within CBA and our continued focus on delivering better, safer and more resilient technology for customers.”
Both Victoria Ledda and Rodrigo Castillo will join CBA’s Executive Leadership Team under the new structure.
