Australian SME lender Moneytech has appointed David Cameron as its new Chief Technology Officer to accelerate the deployment of automation and AI across its commercial lending platforms, according to Australian Fintech.
In this role, Cameron will oversee the technical development of the firm’s lending software, internal business operations, and broker networks.
The appointment comes as non-bank financial institutions increase investment in algorithmic credit scoring and automated decisioning systems to reduce processing times for small businesses.
Before joining Moneytech, Cameron led AI integration initiatives for a workforce management platform and managed engineering teams at an alternative business lender.
The company aims to use these upgraded automated processes to deliver rapid funding outcomes for external brokers and corporate clients.

“My focus will be on continuing to simplify the approval process, bringing new products to market faster, and using AI and automation to deliver a more consistent experience for brokers and their clients,”
said David Cameron, Chief Technology Officer, Moneytech.
Cameron added that synthesising proprietary information with broader external data sources will enable more accurate credit decisioning across the platform.
